HEAR THE WORD

Rom. 10:17
“17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Acts 2:42

“42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching”

John 8:47
“47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

John 6:68
“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”

Col. 3:16
“16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom”

The Scriptures above are the reason why we believe in the essential necessity of hearing God’s Word. According to these verses, God’s Word is what produces faith in the ears of its hearers and to be of God is to hear His Word. So we gather as a church, first and foremost, to devote ourselves to the hearing of God’s Word through preaching and teaching and Bible studies. It is our individual responsibility, as believers, to hunger for God’s Word and saturate our lives with as many opportunities as possible to hear His Word, and it is our Church’s Pastors’ responsibility to provide us with expositional preaching and teaching of the whole counsel of God’s Word.
